Games announced for Switch this week – 3/12 – 9/12

by Luke HendersonDecember 9, 2018

What a week! So a lot of games were announced this week, from some smaller projects, to so massive ones, we also had The Game Awards where we got our first look at Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC with Joker, oh and of course the game itself released.

It was thanks to The Game Awards though that we got Marvel’s Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, a game which is exclusive to Switch, Mortal Kombat 11, Stranger Things 3: The Game, Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled and Sayonara Wild Hearts, but there was also the Kinda Funny Games Showcase, which, when combined with the regular announcements, brings the total number of games announced this week up to 28… So let’s get to it.

Brief Battles

Brief Battles brings butt-em-up action to your screen in a party game with a cheeky twist: It’s all about the undies! Start hilarious battles with nothing but your buns to slam and squish those in your sights. Scramble to grab super-powered undies to embrace the power of the butt and gain an underwear-fueled edge over your friends, as you strive to prove who has the mightiest buns.

Sundered: Eldritch Edition

Sundered is a chaotic hand-drawn action-adventure game where you resist or embrace ancient eldritch powers. Confront hordes of terrifying enemies in an ever-changing world inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Sundered is a challenging and unique take on a classic genre from the creators of Jotun, now with local co-op! Sundered: Eldritch Edition includes the Magnate of the Gong Update, adding local co-op multiplayer support for up to 4 players, along with new areas and a chaotic battle against the new Magnate of the Gong boss!

Ape Out

Developed by Gabe Cuzzillo with sound by Matt Boch and art by Bennett Foddy, Ape Out is a wildly intense and colorfully stylized smash ‘em up about primal escape, rhythmic violence, and frenetic jazz. Build up nearly unstoppable momentum and use your captors as both weapons and shields to crush everyone on your procedurally generated path to freedom.
