This week, we have seen a lot of games announced for Switch, thanks in part to the BitSummit event happening in Japan. While we have had only a small handful the past few weeks, this week we are back into double digits, even with the announcement of Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX and Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. So without any extra delay, let’s get to it.

The Mystery of the Hudson Case

In 1979, a daring journalist sets out to investigate on his own, after continuous disapproval by his editorial department, the famous case of the Hudson Family, whose political allies have helped keep them from being tied to any illegal affairs. Now, journalist James O’Connell must travel to the state of Louisiana, where a difficult task awaits him if he intends to bring to light all the mysteries that may have been hidden for more than a hundred years in that mansion.

Warriors Orochi 4

The next entry in the long running, Warriors Orochi series is coming to Switch, sometime in 2018. The re-assembled heroes are faced with yet another new battle. The key to solving this mysterious situation and returning the world back to normal are eight ‘bracelets’ that possess great power. In search of these bracelets, the heroes clash against on another with their individual convictions. While we do not have a trailer yet, check out this shot of all the playable characters, yes, all of them.

Awkward

Awkward is a simple proposition on paper, inviting players to answer a series of questions about themselves, choosing between two distinct answers. The twist comes when fellow players must guess how the first one responded each time, testing how well they know each other. Guess correctly, and the game recognises and rewards the compatibility. Designed for up to six players, will you reveal yourself to be a true friend, or will your answer be awkward.

Picking between the space agencies of either Europe, Russia, or the United States, the players then control the agency to collaborate or compete in a decades-spanning campaign to expand humanity’s reach further into space. With each game an alternate history begins to be shaped and guided by the player’s actions, building iconic rockets, probes, and satellites that transmit crucial scientific data back to your customisable Earth HQ, all the while researching, investing in, and bolstering your space flight capabilities.

So not a bad week, there were a lot of games announced during BitSummit, that have not yet had any sort of confirmation outside of Japan, so only time will tell there.
