GameCube’s Resident Evil Remake revived for Wii

Not long ago, Christian Svensson – Capcom’s Corporate Officer/VP of Strategic Planning and Business Development – deemed rumours of an enhanced remake of Resident Evil 2 for Wii not worth comment. Well, Resident Evil 2 may be out of the picture for now, but the Gamecube version of Resident Evil will be brought back to life in the form of a Wii port. According to the few details currently available, the game remains almost unchanged except for perhaps a few actions mapped to shakes of the Wii Remote. More inside For example, shaking the controller can be used to draw your weapon. Resident Evil for Wii will be available in Japan December 25, but no word on a release outside Japan. The similar Resident Evil 0 Wii never made it beyond Japan, so it’s best if you don’t hold your breath.
