Gaming blog GameLife has been lucky enough to be one of the very first websites to be able to road test the upcoming Ubisoft game, Splinter Cell: Double Agent. The impressions were based on about 30 minutes of playtime which is enough to give us a good idea of what we can expect in terms of controls.

More details inside. It is firstly pointed out the game only looks somewhat better than the current PS2 version, which is disappointing considering it is a near final build. Graphical limitations aside, the game appears to make rather clichd uses of the Wii-mote. Whilst you control Sam Fischer with the analogue stick, you rely on the Wii-mote to act as your camera. This all changes when you pull out a weapon, in which case the Wii-mote acts as your manual aim. By shaking the nunchuck attachment in an upward direction, you can make Sam climb up or grab onto pipes etc. The buttons on the Wii-mote are used to control Sams various other actions, which the article describes as if designed with a PS2 controller in mind. According to the play test, the control scheme as is somewhat confusing and difficult to master.
