First Mortal Kombat 11 patch for Switch goes live

The first Mortal Kombat 11 patch for the Switch version of the game has been released and there’s a number of changes and fixes.

Mostly the patch brings the game up to speed with the other versions in regards to character and gameplay balancing. There are also some changes to localisation and audio – but the real fun stuff is the improvements to how the game runs.

The Switch version now runs just a little bit smoother than it did before. The menus are quicker to flow between and load times seem to be reduced. There some audio fixes, character tutorials have been added as well as the classic “stability”  and “general fixes”. They’ve also nerfed the difficulty of the Towers of Time so it’s not such a grind by making enemies easier to defeat by reducing their health.

There’s a second patch due in a couple of weeks which will reduce the AI difficulty (not just reduce their health), increase rewards in the Towers of Time and you’ll get a thank gift of Coins, Hearts, Soul Fragments and Time Krystals.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now on the Switch eShop, and out later this week physically – here’s our bargain guide.
