Nintendo has announced that both Shin’en’s FAST Racing NEO and Image & Form’s SteamWorld Collection will be coming to retail as the inaugural Nintendo eShop Selects titles.

That’s right, both titles are getting physically releases in stores! On October 1st in Australia and New Zealand (September 30th in Europe) both games will be released in stores for SRP AU$49.95 each.

Better still FAST Racing Neo will be coming with eight more tracks, don’t worry if you have the download version of the game you’re getting them too in the ‘NEO Future Pack’ on October 1st. The pack is included on the disc, there’s no more to download.

The SteamWorld Collection as the name suggests contains both SteamWorld Dig and SteamWorld Heist. Like FAST Racing Neo is contains some add-on content. The Outsider will be included on the disc version and Steamworld Hiest itself and the add-on content will be released on the eShop on the same day in Australian in New Zealand.

We think it’s great that Nintendo are helping to bring these great eShop games to more people, but do wonder at the cost. We’re not saying these games aren’t worth the money, but they are more expensive than on the eShop. Even with the DLC.

Press release:

26th July, 2016 – Since the introduction of the Nintendo eShop on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS family systems, Nintendo has continued to grow and cultivate its relationship with indie developers. It’s turn-based strategy with an action twist: you manually aim the guns of your robots, allowing for impressive skill shots and bullet-bouncing action.
