In their annual feature, the financial info-outlet Barrons have named Satoru Iwata as one of the world leading CEOs. In the article, they stated that Little more than a year ago, it looked like game-over for Nintendo as Microsoft and Sony duked it out over the next generation of gaming consoles.
More Inside They then went on to write about how Iwata changed all this with the Wii and its motion sensing controls which encouraged gamers to get up and move as well as the hit Brain Training games which has become a top seller in America.
The result of Iwatas actions? Nintendos coffers jumping up to somewhere around the 6 billion dollar mark. Not too shabby at all for an ex-game designer who states that “”We [Nintendo] are not fighting against other companieswe are fighting against ignorance of video games.””
Congratulations Iwata and Nintendo, may you keep this fantastic momentum.
