Nintendo Europe has just announced two brand new 3DS XL limited edition designs, one we’ve seen before and the other is entirely new and they both look rather cool.
The first, the Year of Luigi 3DS XL is now in English and making it’s way to European shelves on November 1st. This is simply just the console itself, there are no games bundled in.
The second limited edition is actually in a bundle with the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Not only do you get this snazzy looking 3DS XL but also a digital copy of the game. It’s out in Europe on November 22nd the same day as the game.
A Link Between Worlds will also come with a reversible cover with a gold and colored sided covers.

The best news out of all of this? Even if these aren’t announced for Australia you can import these and have them act as an Australian console no problems.

YAY!!! Please please please let these come to Australia. Happy to import, but would prefer to purchase here locally… Now to decide which one… I want the Luigi one, purely coz it’s the closest to a Green 3DS XL we might actually get, but dang that Gold Zelda one is nice, almost too nice like if I got it I’d want to keep it sealed@!!!@#!@$ Argh…

I’ve held off upgrading my Zelda 3DS to a 3DS XL because there just hasn’t been the perfect Limited Edition one for me. I was really keen on the gold Pokemon X one that was released in Japan, but sadly it didn’t come out elsewhere.
This Zelda one looks like the next best thing. If I can’t get it locally, I’ll order it from OzGameShop; they have it listed for preorder already!
Not sure if I’ll be able to use any Club Nintendo points from it though…
Checked ozgameshop and the price for it has vanished, maybe they will change the price to a realistic $230 or something :/
Man UK 3dsxl are expensive!! – really want this one but dunno if I really want to pay that much. Custom console but no charger and download only game vs a normal XL plus the physical game for around $50 less. Also the inside really should have been black :/

I’ve just ordered the Zelda 3DS XL from Ozgameshop. Does anyone know where I can pick up an Australian AC adapter for it, or whether UK and Aussie adapters are the same?

Just confirming that EB Games Australia will be doing an exclusive release of the Australian Zelda model 3DS and for only $268 AUD ~ cheaper than the UK
