Entirely New Madden to Hit Revolution

by Daniel VuckovicApril 26, 2006

The game announcements keep coming! After earlier in the week calling Revolution development a “”Challenge””, American site Gamespot is reporting that a new Madden is being developed by EA’s Burnaby, British Colombia Studio. This is the first time the series game development has been moved outside of EA’s Tiburon Studio in Florida, this move also opens a separate development office for Revolution games as there sole business.

While no official details of the game where given, Gamespot was told “”off the record”” that the game would indeed be using the Revolution for control. Now keep in mind I have no Idea how to play NFL but apparently players will be able to “”hike the ball by mimicking a quarterback receiving the ball from the center, and then pass it to a receiver by making a throwing gesture with the free-hand controller.””

Also according to Gamespot “”Kicking the ball will be accomplished by sweeping the controller up as if it were a kicker’s leg striking the ball Also youll also be able to dodge around other players by quickly jerking the controller from one side to the other.

So while Madden may not greatly excite us Australian’s its still good news on two fronts, not only is EA having a separate development office just for Revolution games, but this type of control method could be used in other sports games. Bring on the E3.
