EB Games’ Mad Monday offers great amiibo deals and Nintendo hardware deals

It’s time once again for EB Games’ annual Mad Monday sale, where EB Games offers up a sale that includes some good discount deals, returning collectors editions and hardware bundles and more.

There are discounts on games too but really if you’re following our bargain guides they aren’t anything you haven’t seen at Target or Big W.

To help you choose (and at the time of writing the site was down) we’ve gone through the deals and listed the best of the best.

amiibo

EB is offering 10 amiibo for $99, these are all the amiibo listed on that site currently at $16.00 and have a label under them. If you add 10 of these amiibo to the cart the discount will come off, if you buy any number less than 10 you’ll pay the (still reduced) $16.00.

Last night we listed some amiibo that were $9.90, EB Games’ tells us this was because the previously mentioned multi-buy feature wasn’t enabled and to match what was advertised that had to do it. They’ve since got the multi-buy working and the prices have been adjusted.

I gave up. After spending half an hour trying to add amiibo to my cart I finally got the check out and THREE TIMES had to go back and remove items from my cart because they’d sold out in between adding them to the cart and trying to check out. After the third time I just said “fuck it” and closed the browser.

I won’t bother with EB Mad Monday sales again.

I managed to stick with it and get 12 amiibo for $120.

Only took me four and a half hours total.

I have the a stick you can borrow from me. You an use it to stick it in your eye for all those frustrating gaming experiences that we go through.

I have a better idea: I’ll stick it in the eye of whomever in EB’s tech department decided not to host on something scalable like AWS.

(And for the record, to add insult to injury, when I ordered, the final “order confirmation” page failed to load, and I didn’t get an email or anything… so I refreshed the page and naturally, my order submitted twice. I was actually surprised I only had to stay on hold for ten minutes before I could talk to them to get them to cancel one – which they did – but it seemed like about ten years because thanks to Battlefront having just come out, the hold music was a 45 second loop of the Imperial March.)
