EB Games date New Super Mario Bros. Wii, still nothing from Nintendo Australia
The retailer reports the release date for Nintendos last big Wii title this year as November 12
Nintendo Australia haven’t exactly been the most vocal with release dates for some of their more recent games, like Metroid Prime Trilogy, for example, coming out this week on October 15 with no official announcement yet from NAL. Consumers have had to follow dates listed by the major retailers instead.
This appears to again be the case with New Super Mario Bros. Wii. So-far, we’ve had no information from NAL on when this is coming to our shores, and hadn’t heard anything beyond estimates from stores, either. However, EB Games is now reporting November 12 as the day for its arrival.
Nintendo Australia cite the lack of support or hype as reason for games like Excitebots and Another Code: R not making it to Australia, along with Punch-Out!! for Wii receiving single-retailer exclusivity. However, if core gamers can’t have a date to build up to, can they really build up this interest? Or is the Australian public really just not into these sorts of titles now?
