While EA have had less than a stellar year it seems they face more humiliation resulting from a misleading advertisement of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 showed earlier in August. The commercial shows players holding Wii remotes and responding to the gameplay footage on the screen. The trouble is the gameplay footage in the commercial is not from the Wii version at all and is actually from the 360 and PS3 versions. More inside Responding to complaints, the Britain’s Advertising Standards Authority took action and has stated that Electronics Arts confirmed that the footage in the ad was taken from the Xbox 360 version of the game. They said, to avoid any confusion, they added text to inform viewers that the game was available on all formats. They explained that Wii footage would not be of broadcast quality, and the originating agency had thought it preferable to use the Xbox footage
