– Meta-Knight (Kirby)
– Wario (Wario)

The game will also include new items one of which is a Nintendog which will partially block the view of opponents by climbing up on the screen.

The game, like previous versions, will feature multiplayer only this time around the game will have online gaming options. The game will be fully functional with GCN controller, and will not feature motion due to difficulties and problems with it getting in the way of the game. A few confirmed characters making yet another appearance are: Mario, Kirby, Pikachu and Link. Miyamoto mentioned more new characters were a possibility when asked about if Sonic will be making an appearance.

The music of the game will be performed by a full orchestra. It will be a deluxe chorus complete with lyrics in Latin. Opera singer Ken Nishikiori has lended his vocals for the game’s musical side. The main theme was created by famed composer, Nobuo Uematsu.
