E3 2015: Bowser and Donkey Kong join the Skylanders (and amiibo) family
Nintendo and Activision have revealed that both Donkey Kong and Bowser will be receiving the amiibo treatment for the upcoming Skylanders: Superchargers across all Nintendo platforms. The figures, which will be released alongside the game, will allow Skylanders players to play as unique versions of Bowser and Donkey Kong in the game along with custom made vehicles perfectly suited to each character.
The base of the amiibo features a twistable mechanism that allows players to use the figurines as either an amiibo or a Skylanders figurine as they wish. The variations of Donkey Kong and Bowser are brand new iterations not seen in previous games before – crafted specifically for Skylanders: Superchargers.
Skylanders: Superchargers is releasing in September later this year. Once we have more information about the availability of these amiibo we’ll be sure to let you know.
