Good news everyone!
Pop the champagne, Friend Codes are dead and buried on Wii U. Well that’s according to Shane Satterfield from GameTrailers.com.
He confirmed the news we’ve all been waiting to hear saying on Twitter “Oh yeah, was confirmed to me today that friend codes are gone for Wii U.” That’s confirmed by Nintendo no doubt.
With the MiiVerse taking over as your online destination on Wii U and multiple accounts on each system, it’s time for a new system. Sadly the 3DS still has the little buggers, but at least it’s only one.

I hope the Miiverse update for 3DS will allow you to incorporate the current friencode as well as increase friend list size!!
