Dragon Quest IX could sell 5 Million Copies

Just how far could the Nintendo DSs success take Dragon Quest IX? Hirokazu Hamamura the president of Enterbrain (Japanese video game magazine) has spoken to another Japanese newspaper Mainichi and he believes that the latest version of Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest IX could sell over 5 million copies in Japan.

Not only is this a huge amount of games but even more then the current best selling DQ game, Dragon Quest VII at 4.1 Million. Could the DS really have that affect on a game? Or could Dragon Quest boost the DS even more? Maybe both! Well just have to await its launch and see.
