Doom and Doom II to get lighting and sound fixes, Doom 64 classified in Australia
Bethesda has announced that both Doom and Doom II which released last month on the Switch are getting even further patched to fix a bunch of issues with them.
The lighting, the speed of the audio and the performance of the games will all get a look in. There’s no release date for these updates yet, but we’ll let you know.
We’re working on a new game update for DOOM and DOOM II re-releases, which improves in-game lighting and audio to match the originals. The update also brings game performance improvements. Stay tuned for more details. pic.twitter.com/PpwKfAb670— DOOM (@DOOM) August 30, 2019
Additionally the Nintendo 64 iteration, Doom 64 has also been classified for release by the Australian Classification Board. It’s listed as ‘multiplatform’ because every game is, and isn’t indicative of what platforms it’ll actually come to. But after the Doom fest we’ve had so far, it’s probably going to include the Switch.
Doom 64 is a completely different Doom game unlike its predecessors and was built specifically for the Nintendo 64.
