Doom and Doom II on Switch gets Final Doom, Sigil, performance updates and more
The Doom and Doom II ports on Switch started off a bit iffy, but Bethesda is really turning it around and adding a lot to them – soon.
Announced during a live stream overnight Doom will get both the TNT Evilution and The Plutonia Experiment which make up the ‘Final Doom’ pack. To add to this, what’s considered a follow up to the first game’s fourth episode is SIGIL, a whole new episode made by John Romero to celebrate the game’s 25th Anniversary. The SIGIL campaign features an entirely new story, is super hard and has a wholly original soundtrack. It’s a large inclusion to the game!
Not only will these official add-ons coming, but also community WAD files will be added to the in-game ‘store’ for free. These content packs can be added to either Doom and Doom II so if you only own one, you’ll be fine.
Also coming is a 60 FPS lock, and aspect ratio fixes.
These updates should be landing ‘soon’ on all platforms.
