Ubisoft are at it again, announcing plans to release the next title in their (in)famouz Animalz series, Dogz 2008 (title is not final) exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. Ubisoft claims that Dogz 2008 will be built from the ground up for the Wii, taking full advantage of the Wii’s technology including the Wii Remote. In Dogz 2008 you can choose to adopt over 18 different breeds of dogs and put him or her into over 100 different events. The game will feature a mode to walk your dog to another Wii console, presumably through Wi-Fi Connection.

SAN FRANCISCO May 28, 2008 Today Ubisoft, one of the worlds largest video game publishers, announced that it will publish Dogz 2008 (working title) exclusively on the Wii(TM) home video game system from Nintendo. Dogz 2008 (working title) gameplay will be designed to take advantage of the Wii systems technology and full utilization of the Wii Remote(TM). Dogz 2008 (working title) is scheduled for release in Holiday 2008.

In Dogz 2008 (working title), players can adopt a dog from 18 different breeds, train their dog to compete in races, dress him or her in more than 100 outfits, and engage their dog in different activities including jump roping and playing catch at the park. A new feature will also allow dogs to travel to other Wii consoles and interact with other dogs.
