Leaked yesterday, confirmed today. We’ve now got an official look at Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King and what’s included.

Game-wise, both the Mega Drive, Game Boy and Super Game Boy versions of both Aladdin and The Liong King are included, with a bonus Super Nintendo version of The Lion King. The Capcom developed SNES Aladdin is not included.

These aren’t just straight emulations either, Aladdin includes difficulty adjustments, camera changes and ‘additional surprises’. Both games include updates to 1080p graphics, you can rewind gameplay up to 15 seconds and even fast forward through the game as well. The games also include quick save.

You’ll be able to listen to the entire soundtracks for the game as well.

Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King launches on October 29th for $30USD, once we have an Aussie price we’ll update this story with it.

YES! Game Boy versions are confirmed as well!

I love this and I’m not even necessarily a fan of the properties per se.

I remember grabbing these and The Jungle Book demos from shareware vendors back in the day (for $5 a pop). Ah, how times have changed.

Coo! So Aladdin is the Mega Drive version. Definitely picking this thing up. Interesting how it mentions the tweaks to Aladdin though. I think Aladdin’s hardest moments are mainly (and simply) the lava cave (with boulders) and the carpet ride. Lion King was the one that had its difficulty increased on purpose in response to game rentals and to try and attempt easy one night completions – the waterfall with logs alone was infamous enough..
