Diablo III: Eternal Collection is coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year

Blizzard has announced that Diablo III Eternal Collection is coming to the Nintendo Switch, it will be the first Blizzard game on a Nintendo system since The Lost Vikings on the Gameboy Advance in 2003. That’s 15 years!

Diablo III: Eternal Collection will include the base game and all of the game’s expansions, including Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer. It was leaked earlier in the week, but here’s the official announcement – its very Nintendo.

It wouldn’t be a Nintendo version without some crossover items and characters.  There will be a Ganondorf cosmetic armour, a Triforce portrait frame, a Cucco pet and more.

The Switch version will include four-player local-multiplayer support either on one console or many over local wireless. There’s also full online support and since it will be released after Nintendo turns on its online service, you’ll need to have the subscription to play it online. However, it’ll be one of the games that use the cloud save service which was detailed over at Eurogamer. The system will automatically backup progress made offline once the Switch has an internet connection. Even if the game isn’t running.

The release date for Diablo III: Eternal Collection is ‘2018’, hopefully we won’t be waiting too long for the final date.

So what was this about then?
