Details on PokePark: Pikachus Big Adventure

Turns out its not really that much of an adventure

Last week Nintendo held a retailer conference in Japan and revealed a brand new Pokémon Wii game called PokePark: Pikachu’s Big Adventure. One would assume from the title that the game was an adventure game, but early information seems to point to it being just another minigame collection. The Wii is in dire need of those; it’s good to see Nintendo filling the void.

As we subtly hinted above, the game is a mini game collection in which you play Pikachu to go through the mini games and make friends with other Pokémon. Three mini games are so far known: Tag has you chasing other Pokémon, most likely in some sort of (kiss) chasey. Battle has you battling other Pokemon, which we assume will be different to the usual way of battling, and lastly a Pokemon themed quiz. There are other games, all based on the now defunct PokePark theme parks that used to be in Japan.

The game is out in Japan on December 5th and will come with a 3D Sticker sheet for your Wii Remote.
