Dave Perry, the creator of Earthworm Jim, former developer and now advisor to the video game industry has said in a recent interview that the Wiis appeal wont last. “”The graphical power of the 360 and PS3 are essential to them attracting the Wii’s user base. The fact is, gamers are attracted to beautiful looking games. Says Perry. More Inside
Apart from missing the point that the Wii is not just aiming for the typical gamer, Dave also continued his interview by pointing out that “”When a game comes out – a game like a Halo or something, something they havent seen before – they’ll drop everything and theyll drop their Wii controllers when it does.””
Not resting on his laurels with his comments about the Wii, he also felt it necessary to point out that the PlayStation 3 has yet to pull its full potential. “”In every way, the machine hasnt succeeded yet in what it can deliver.”” However, before the interview was over, he did manage to praise the Wiis interactive control system, calling it a step in the right direction- but not a final solution.
Were sure all the new found expanded audience of Wii owners just cant wait to own the noobs once Halo 3 is out.
