Engine that powers Crysis is up and running on the Wii U

The developers of Crysis, Crytek have revealed that their engine is close to fully running on the Wii U system although theyre not showing it just yet. Speaking to Develop Online, Cryteks CEO Cevat Yerli has said that “Crytek’s support for Wii U is definitely going to happen, We arent showing it but we are pretty much running it already".

Yerli has suggested that he hopes that the CryEngine will run on everything thats a major player in the industry. If the Wii U can emulate the success of the Wii, well that would be one of them.

This is great news, another high powered engine running on the Wii U can only mean great things and puts more credentials behind the Wii Us power. Will we ever see Crysis on the Wii U though? We doubt it, but the CryEngine is a great looking engine.
