Captain Toad Treasure Tracker delayed to 2015 in Europe (Update: Australia too)

Nintendo has just released its 1st quarter financial statement and brought with it some bad news. Captain Toad Treasure Tracker has been delayed in Europe until January 2015. That probably means the game has been delayed here in Australia too, we will follow up with Nintendo Australia right away.
North America and Japan don’t fret, you’re still on track to get the game for later this year.
Update: Nintendo Australia has confirmed the game is delayed here in Australia as well issuing the the following statement;

Sheesh Nintendo are useless at hitting Xmas deadlines.
Captain Toad probably got lost and stuck in a treasure chest somewhere. It took them a month to find him, hence the delay.
As good as this looks, I will easily move on as long as smash lands before Xmas. If anything, I’m probably more likely to pick it up now it won’t be competing with smash.
Why did they do this? What’s wrong with Nintendo releasing a game around the time of Christmas?
