While we learnt that Impossible Mission was heading to the Wii Shop Channel just recently, it has also be unveiled in an interview with System 3 on PALGN that California Games will be heading there as well. It’s just one of the first games that will be heading to Wii Shop Channel, not under the Virtual Console banner, but as a original downloadable game. The game will also be sold at retail.

More Inside Speaking with PALGN, System 3 CEO Mark Cale said that Nintendo will be rolling out an Xbox Live Marketplace equivalent for new games on the Wii but they are yet to set up the system for themselves or other publishers. He went on to say, I expect it [an announcement] will be within the next two months. An exact date on the interview is unknown but if it was indeed a month ago, is this what we could be expecting to hear about tomorrow at the media summit? We knew original hames would be coming at some point but it’s good to hear that it’s close.
