Build-A-Bear adds Snorlax to its lineup

You’ve been able to get Pikachu, the Kanto starters and now a larger sized Snorlax is available at Build-A-Bear in Australia.

This is a larger sized “bear” than the normal ones and will set you back $45. They’re only available in store and not online. Some stores don’t have it, check the included Facebook post below for more information.

I can’t recall whether you guys had reported it at the time, but Snubbull and Psyduck had launched upon release of Detective Pikachu in theatres (in-store only, and they’re probably long gone by now). Unfortunately, the matching attire as released in the U.S. was not available here, nor were the sound chips (though the ones I had heard on the U.S. site sounded atrocious; I would have been able to do a better job that would have stayed true to how they sounded in Pokémon: The First Movie).

The Build-A-Bear Snubbull and Psyduck were pretty big though, as was the last remaining Jigglypuff that I was lucky enough to nab. The price of the individual toys are okay for the size (great when they’re on sale!), but costumes can tip a single doll into $60-$90 territory.

With two different Snorlax dolls being available via Tomy, this feels superfluous though. I’m sure that this will be a bit bigger than the revised (and larger) one that EB were recently spruiking for $50.
