Breath of the Wild hits second spot on the Aussie charts in opening week

Only a top 5 for the Switch so far...

The Australian sales charts for the Nintendo Switch launch week are in and as we expected Breath of the Wild didn’t manage top the charts. It came in second behind Horizon Zero Dawn.

There’s a couple of reasons for this, Horizon Zero Dawn had two more days on Zelda and of course a couple of million more people own a PS4 than the Switch. Even with the Wii U version rolled into that total, it couldn’t pip Horizon for top spot. Breath of the Wild did of course top the Wii U charts.

Completely agree. This will continue to be an automatic purchase for all Switch buyers as more systems roll into the country throughout the year and for years to come!
