Nintendo Australia has confirmed that when Bayonetta 2 releases on the Switch here on February 16th there will be a couple of ways to pick up the game. Both versions of the game come with the original title as a download code, but we’re also getting the same Limited Edition release that Japan is getting, dubbed the ‘Non-Stop Climax Edition’ there it comes with the same Steelbook, 22 verse cards and sticker sheets.

The Limited Edition of the game will be AU$119.95, the regular version – which still includes Bayonetta 1 is $AU89.95. Both games will be available on the eShop digitally as well.

This is absolute bull. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to give us crappy trinkets over the first game on cartridge for that price? I’d happily pay $120 to have both games on cartridge. Hell, I wouldn’t mind *that* much if the RRP for games in general were to increase a little so that we would get proper, complete physical releases. The RRP for AAA games was $120 not that long ago and games back then offered a lot less than what they have to offer now.

So Nintendo are charging nearly double what Bayonetta 2 cost on Wii U, and that at least game with the first game on disc as well. Now I’m tempted to hang onto my Wii U copy and not bother with the Switch version at all. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that I may cave in though.

    FFS, Nintendo. >:(

While I don’t know if the special edition trinkets are quality, I’ll agree, I’d rather pay the premium for both games on a cartridge over other stuff.

I’ve been reading that both games are included on the cart of the Japanese version of the non-stop climax edition. Kinda sucks if we’re not getting the same deal, especially at that ridiculous price.

What’s not to understand? You buy Bayonetta 2 on Switch on cartridge, and get Bayonetta 1 for free, but as a download! Pretty good deal, if you ask me! Two games for the price of one!

Good points taken. I wish that bayo 1 was on a cart too.

Just posting to concur with the others, the only way I’d pick up the rereleases is if they offered physical versions of both Bayo 1 and Bayo 2. I’d be ok with a single outer case with spliced/dual artwork, but I’d want both on a cartridge, be it seperate or both on a single one (probably wouldn’t even fit.) but I’m not having a bar of this buy one physical get the other digital nonsense!!! Will stick with the Wii U versions versions thanks.

Even with a large memory card, space is at a premium on the Switch, really wish they’d done B1 as physical.

Having said that, I want this, where do I preorder dammit?
