Batman: Arkham Origins delayed on Wii U and 3DS in Australia and Europe

More delays today as Batman: Arkham Origins has been delayed in Europe and Australia, but only on the Wii U (and PC in Europe). The 3DS spin-off Blackgate has also been delayed. Australia will now receive the game on November 6th, Europe on November 8th. That’s nearly two weeks for us Aussies.

Warner Bros. has confirmed the European delay to Eurogamer and the Australia delay we heard about this morning but has now been confirmed with most retailers showing the later date. We’ll attempt to follow up with Warner Bros. Australia on Monday but we’ve heard the game has been delayed due to shipping issues.

Like America, the Wii U version of the game is cheaper here in Australia but does lack the multiplayer that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions have. The Wii U version does have the Batcomputer though, which was cool in Batman: Arkham City – Armored Edition.

So if you’re keen on just singleplayer you could save yourself some cash, but you’ll possibly have wait nearly two weeks as well.  Does this change your purchasing plans?

Probably doesn’t change anything for me. I’m near the end of the university semester so gaming is of low priority at the moment so i can comfortably go two weeks longer before i get it. even if i were to get it on the other consoles on the 25th i doubt i’d have the time to play it till november, or after exams anyway.

I don’t think the delay worries me too much. I really loved Arkham City, so this game appeals to me. But there are tons of other games being released (Wii Party U, Mario 3D World, Assassains Creed IV, LEGO Marvel Heroes, Deus Ex DC) so I have to think carefully about which games to pick up.
