Bargain Roundup: Third wave amiibo incoming – the hunt is on
The first wallet reckoning of 2015 is here with the third wave of amiibo launching on Thursday, January 29th here in Australia, well that’s if you can find any.
Normally our bargain roundups would a bunch of links to the stores both physical and online that are stocking said products covered. Not this time however as unless you pre-ordered you’re pretty much screwed on guaranteeing the amiibo you want. EB sold out ages ago, as did JB, other smaller retailers no longer have any listings for the third wave.
But the light at the end of the tunnel is Big W, not only do they say they’ll have the new amiibo figures but at the reduced price of $15. That’s still a whole $1 more than the last wave but we recommend being there early on Thursday if you missed out on the preorder.

With the last Amiibo, my store only had two Diddy Kongs and a Pit spare.

Good luck with that Nicholas ive been at Target 7:30am for the SSB adapter bundle and wave 1 & 2 Amiibo standing at the door people come at 7:55am and just run. Coming the extra 30 mins early did nothing
I have 5 of them ordered, I missed out on King Dedede, MetaKnight, Ike, MegaMan, Sonic and Shulk..
Once I get them, I will have them all so far.. except villager.. I refuse to pay as much as people are asking for him
I know of a bloke that works at Jb who bought out all the amiibos at his work through his brother. Things are getting really rediculous.
EB Games just put more up on their website, get them while they are still there.
Old matey at my EB said even he missed out on the pre-order on the Ike amiibo, so he was at Target at 8:00 am for the Usain Bolt down to the video game section to grab him. He said all of their stock went on pre-orders so they had none to display. Crazy stuff.

Only wanted toon link, which I managed to get.
My local target had about 6 of each amiibo, and I didn’t get there until 11am
I got a Rosalina and sonic amiibo from EB games. I also got a meta knight and link amiibo from target 🙂
