Ubisoft are bringing a new Rabbids game to the DS, as a fitting counterpart to the upcoming Wii adventure game, and it will be one of the first DS titles to offer DSi-only enabled features

Celebrating the recent 40th anniversary of the Apollo landings, Ubisoft have announced that their next moon-bound Rabbids adventure will also be coming the DS. ‘Rabbids Go Home’ will parallel the same storyline as its Wii brethren, following the attempts of the Earth-stricken Rabbids to reach the moon. The game has players working towards the goal of filling a shopping cart with random crap earned from completing stylus-controlled puzzles and mini-games across 15 unique worlds.

Ubisoft have been one of the earliest third parties to make use of DSi-only features on a DS game, and ‘Rabbids Go Home’ will be no exception. DSi owners will be able to take a photo of themselves and add it to their sign-in profile, in much the same way as recent Ubisoft titles ‘My Healthy Cooking Coach’ and ‘Classic Word Games’.

The Wii version of ‘Rabbids Go Home’ was announced by Ubisoft just before this year’s E3. The game got a bit lost in the mix with all the other announcements, but is a title many of us can’t wait to get our hands on.

Expect both games to hit retail just in time for Christmas.
