Punch-Out may be suffering from a criminal delay in Australia, but at least we now know when it will be coming here thanks to the Nintendo Channel

Remember the Nintendo Channel? The one we all installed as a way to get some DS demos, then probably never used again? Well it may have finally delivered us something new in the form of a date for Punch-Out!! on the Wii here in Australia, and it looks to be set for the 27th of August. The Australian box art is even featured – so we expect this date to stick.

Punch-Out returns Little Mac to the ring with trainer Doc Louis to try and grab the World Video Boxing Association title. The game was developed by Next Level Games, the guys responsible for bringing us Mario Strikers Charged. It is controlled either with motion controls or you can turn the Wiimote on its side for some classic NES action.

This of course is two months after its PAL release in the United Kingdom and Europe. We are all used to having delays from the US to Australia but Nintendo recently have been very good on getting us PAL games here quickly (Disaster for example). We think this is just one misstep as Wii Sports Resort, out in just over a week is being release before everyone else.
