Speaking to the Herald, Nintendo Australias spokesman Vispi Bhopti says that “”Wii gets gamers off the couch; Gaming is no longer about just sitting and watching. Expect to work up a sweat.””
Nintendo also says that “”We expect demand will outweigh supply and that there will be a few more ‘sickies’ than usual on Thursday and that thousands will be lining up on Wednesday at midnight.
To compare the Xbox 360s Australian launch sold about 30,000 units in 4 days, the Wii should over take this. However this is nothing new as every new console that comes out breaks the record.
