We’re heading into that awkward transition period before console release. A quiet week on the eShop usually got us a bit excited and hopeful for a Direct announcement, but with the Switch Direct already set for January… this is just a quiet week.
The Wii U gets a few download games this week, alongside Beat the Beat for the Wii. An unusual choice, considering the 3DS release recently, but it might still be fun to play on the TV if you prefer. There’s also a nice list of special offers, including the infamous Mighty No. 9 and it’s add-on content (European eShop puts it at about half price, we’ll confirm when the update goes live for Australia).
The 3DS had the Welcome amiibo version of Animal Crossing: New Leaf- don’t buy this if you have the game already, the amiibo functionality this version adds is just a free update for existing players! You can also grab a free demo of Picross 3D: Round 2, on top of some special offers, and the usual Home themes!
