Amiibo will launch in Australia for $17.95AU each
During the madness of last night’s Nintendo Direct the pricing and availability of the Amiibo figures was locked in.
Nintendo Australia along with Europe and America have confirmed that the figures will launch later this year and that Mario, Donkey Kong, Peach, Yoshi, Link, Samus, Villager, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Marth and Wii Fit Trainer will be the first characters available. Amiibo’s will first work with Super Smash Bros. and support will eventually come to Mario Kart 8, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Mario Party 10 and Yoshi’s Woolly World as well.
We also have pricing confirmed, one Amiibo figure will set you back $17.95AU. That’s a little more than the American’s pay at $12.99US but not a complete rip-off at least.
So which will you buy on day one?
People are saying they’ve spotted a price for Australia at the $17.95 mark. It’ll make it in line with Disney and Skylanders NFC figures.
It’s $17.95 AUD confirmed already on the Nintendo AU website.
the price is in line with america actually, the 12.99 us does not include tax.. so once you add tax it becomes around 14-14.50 depending on what part of the usa you live in. convert that to australian dollars and you are around 16 bucks..
