Nintendo has launched amiibo Touch & Play: Nintendo Classics Highlights which was featured in the last Nintendo Direct.
Known as amiibo Tap: Nintendo’s Greatest Bits in Japan (for whatever reason) the game as we know unlocks 3 minute snippets of gameplay from classic Nintendo games.
Each amiibo will unlock something random and then can only be used to unlock that snippet once again. You better hope your Samus amiibo doesn’t unlock the Ice Climbers segment, because you can’t wash that smell away. Figures also can unlock games from any series, not just the ones they’re involved with.
amiibo Touch & Play: Nintendo Classics Highlights should be out sometime this month here in Australia.
