Age of Empires: Mythologies announced for DS
The Age of Empire franchise is returning to the Nintendo DS this time with Age of Empires: Mythologies. While it is inspired by the PC franchise, Mythologies is completely built from the ground up for the DS. Three different civilizations are able to be selected- the Egyptians, Greeks and the Norse, through both single player and multi player campaigns. More inside Age of Empires: Mythologies will combine one of the most successful Windows PC franchises of all time with the innovative style and controls of Nintendo DS, bringing a totally unique experience to handheld gamers, says THQ, the publishers of the title. The game is being built on the engine of the previously released Age of Kings.
The game has an entire new active combat system as well as new skirmish mode with new unique maps and customisable rules. Multiplayer will also include a single cart sharing mode, something that more DS games should take advantage of.
The game is due out later this year.
