Activision explodes with Wii U content

If the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 announcement for Wii U didn’t get you excited, then hopefully the titles I’m about to mention do.

They’re all upcoming Activision games, and they’re all coming to the Wii U. To kick it off we have Skylanders Giants. The sequel to the original Skylanders game is all about giant Skylanders as you probably guessed from the title. At this stage it’s unclear if it will take advantage of the Wii U GamePad’s built-in NFC functionality but I’m sure we’ll find out more in time.

Next up we have a port of WipeOut 3. No, I’m not talking about the futuristic racing game, I’m talking about the television show where a bunch of crazy contestants get together and make their way through a series of water and mud courses. I guess confused people, or people who like the actual show will buy it.

To follow this, Activision announced 007 Legends (celebrating the 50th anniversary of James Bond) would also be making its way across to the the Wii U. And last, but definitely not least, was the announcement of the Nintendo exclusive, Transformers Prime. This game will be appearing on both the Wii U and 3DS.

In terms of release dates we have no idea. Stay tuned.
