Zelda for GameCube an EB Exclusive in Australia

Another one for the pinch of salt category, but it seems that the 2007 GameCube-bound version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will be an EB Games exclusive indefinitely all over Australia.

Update: Confirmation of this story is coming from every source available to man. Twilight Princess for the GameCube will be available only at EB store early next year.

More details inside! Earlier in the week there were rumours that the Wii version of the game was going to be a 3 month exclusive for EB Games, where after that three month period, other retailers would be able to sell it. But it seems this is not the case. It was actually the GameCube version and it is now known that it will be exclusive to EB for an indefinite amount of time. What this means is no other retailer will receive stock of the game. In addition, EB will receive only one shipment of the title.

So what does this mean for you? Well not a lot really. Not many retailers carry GameCube games as it is now, let alone in 3 months time, especially after the Wii has been released. However if you dont have an EB store near where you live, you may have to go out of your way to get it. And if you’re going to get it, you better make it snappy as there will be a limited amount of the games.

Well wait for a confirmation from Nintendo on this one before we believe it though.
