Good news fans of good, but cheap games. The Wii U Nintendo Selects range is on the way to Australia and will be in stores by May 7th. A friend in retail has sent this picture and word that the games are in the system and ready to preorder.

So far we can confirm that the below titles will be in our range, all of the games in the range will be $49.95.

– New Super Mario Bros. U & New Super Luigi U (bundle)
– Nintendo Land
– Wii Party U
– Lego City Undercover

We’re still trying to confirm if Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will be added to the list after Europe got them earlier this month.

All of the games prices will be changed on the eShop to match on the same date. New Super Mario Bros U will removed from the eShop, replaced with the bundled version.

Thanks Leon for the tip!

boo at the price, in america they are 2/3 off the regular price, a little more than 50% in the UK, but here we are only getting $30 off, not even 50%. they should be $29.95 each, that is what they need to be

Yaay! Nintendo Land goes from $15-$20 bargain bin fodder to $50 “budget” title (honestly, what are Nintendo of Australia thinking?). And Wii Party U was great value as a $60 game with a bonus Wii Remote Plus and is now being downgraded as a standalone $50 release (the going rate for a standalone Wii Remote Plus is $70 [!!!!!] making the original Wii Party U bundle a bargain in comparison).

Both versions of Lego City Undercover are also $30 at Target, if you’re lucky to enough to find any copies left.

The only real deal here is the Mario + Luigi bundle, which is a great deal considering that the original combined retail price was nearly $140. I would have been tempted to double dip if I hadn’t already completed both games 100%.

For those buying off the eShop it will be a discount.

Copies of Lego City Undercover were hard to find, hence the higher than RRP eBay prices.

I totally agree with you about Wii Party U – I struggle to see how that price makes sense.
