Nintendo Japan’s Twitter account has just announced another Nintendo Direct for Japanese Audiences. The Japanese version will cover not only the 3DS like here in the west but also The Year of Luigi, the Wii U and its upcoming system update. The Nintendo Direct is on the same time as the European and American ones.

Along with the announcement of the Nintendo Direct, Nintendo also confirmed that the Wii U system update that promises to speed up the time it takes to get back to the Wii U menu is coming next week. The update will be detailed in the Direct. The update is likely to have more new features and fixes as well.

Three Directs at once? Please Nintendo, give me a challenge.

Seems kind of strange Nintendo splits the menu fixes into two different updates. This one will fix the speed it takes to close a game or app, but we have to then wait for a completely separate update the speeds up game launching time. Kinda bizarre. What sort of software engineers does Nintendo have? It’s taking a while.
