This week on the Nintendo eShop in Australia (12/5) Craftin’ B-Ball

It might not look it, but this is a really big week for the Switch. Minecraft whether you love it or hate, you can’t deny that it is absolutely huge and could be huge on the Switch as well. It still doesn’t have a price but it should match the $40 it was on the Wii U we think.

NBA Playgrounds should be out by the time you read this article as well, we say should because we’re not really sure when the eShop updates these days when a game is released midweek.

Rounding up the week on Switch is Garou: Mark of the Wolves. All this writer knows about it is that its really expensive to buy for real – so if you can’t track down a copy. Now’s your chance to play it without breaking the bank.

As always we’ll update this article through the week, specifically with Wii U and 3DS eShop updates on Friday.

I have found in the last few weeks that switch eshop games are releasing about 10:30pm (ACTZ) on their release day, this happened with tumbleseed, Shifty, Kamiko and Wonderboy so far. It is annoying though to see games showing not being released until the last hour or so of the night :/

Surely Nintendo knows I’ve previously purchased Minecraft on Wii U and would offer me an upgrade price instead of full price…. Oh one can dream.

That’s not Nintendos call. That is up to Microsoft – and considering they had to do the game from scratch, expect full price like any other time you buy Minecraft for another console.

Super excited about NBA Jam….I mean playgrounds. Seriously tho, it’s so NBA Jam.

It wants to be NBA JAM, but is more like NBA “Smooth Peanut Butter” for someone who likes crunchy PB. (Yes I acknowledge this attempt at humour is too long and not that funny.) This is my kind of game but the execution just misses the mark.

Looking forward to Minecraft on Switch – but I’m still baffled as to why they are releasing the physical copy “Later”. Until they do I have to continue waiting patiently.

Hope they chuck in a few bonuses for the physical release.

Haha, it did drop late, I was able to purchase just after 5pm AEST and I checked for it every hour.

Pretty happy with the game so far, one small issue – is it just me, or is the HD rumble is just outta control?!

I had to kill the vibration in the Switch system settings. Even on the pro controller, as well as vibrating hard it makes one hell of a a racket.

Hope this gets patched, or a strength slider in the options soon.

Totally agree with the HD rumble in fact I was waiting for someone to mention it. If you want a real treat play it in hand held mode, you can literally feel your console’s heatsink falling apart. LoL. Its horrible!!
Absolutely there should be settings in game such as the said slider to adjust the HD rumble.

Anyone know when we’re expecting the physical version of Minecraft? I want Minecraft but I want the cartridge.

    Wii-U the forgotten console.

It’s a bit of a miss unfortunately, I’ve noticed some FPS drops recently in portable mode. Load times are pretty atrocious for a quick ‘pick up and play’ style game too.

…and I still gotta turn HD rumble off via system settings anytime i want to play.
