The developers of the popular Unity engine have announced that support for the New Nintendo 3DS models is on the way. The added processing power of the system finally means that indies will be able to bring their Unity based games to the portable for the first time. The original models of the Nintendo 3DS never had the power to run games built in Unity.

This does however mean that any game built in the engine will only be able to work on the New 3DS models, hopefully this is still enough of an incentive for developers to bring their games to the 3DS.

this is good news, not ground breaking of course, but good.

its one additional excuse less for developers who refuse to support Nintendo consoles as both Wii U and New 3DS both support Unity.
