Ubisoft wants its games to have Nintendo Like Quality

During its latest investor meet up, Ubisofts CEO Yves Guillemot became outspoken about his enthusiasm for Nintendo consoles and the success they have had, outlining plans for Ubisoft to release Nintendo-like quality games on the Wii shortly. Ubisoft has been one of the biggest supports of the Wii since launch but not without letting a few stinkers through. However, Guillemot says that Ubisoft now has about 400-500 staff devoted to the Wii platform and this should increase their quality of games. More inside He also added that the DS has been instrumental in expanding Ubisofts business, as well as the rest of the industry. CFO of Ubisoft, Alian Marteniz said that with their relatively low development costs, DS games are more profitable quickly. A DS games is profitable at about 100,000 units sold whereas a big next-gen game for the Xbox or PS3 would have to sell around 1.3 million units.
