Super Mario Run downloaded 78 million times, 5% bought the full game

There was a lot of conjecture around just how many times Super Mario Run had been downloaded. Nintendo has now confirmed that the game has been downloaded 78 million times.
The more important figure however is how many people paid for the full thing. Nintendo says that more than 5% of Super Mario Run downloaders bought the full thing or around 4 million people.
According to reporters Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima said they were hoping for at least a double digit conversion rate. Perhaps Nintendo will have tweak the game to make it more obvious what you get for the price.

BTW for those who don’t know 5% is a good thing most mobile games only get 3% of people or less to buy stuff on their free game. Also 4 million people paying ten dollars is still about $39,000,000. so yeah it was a success.
