Conduit 2 to have Classic Controller support
Implementation is not quite complete, but looks promising.

High Voltage Software has revealed that their follow up to The Conduit, appropriately named Conduit 2, will allow for Classic Controller functionality. Naturally this option is included for players who prefer analogue control over motion control and, like the Wii Remote, it’s planned that all the button mappings will be customisable for the peripheral.

The default button layout is as follows:
Z2 - Fire
Z1 - Aim
L - Crouch, hold to run
R - Melee
B - Jump
Y - Reload
X - Switch Weapon
A - Throw Grenade
Left Stick - Move
Right Stick - Aim

Reactions were positive, with GameXplain likening the experience to that of first-person shooters on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. However, they also noted that aiming was not as fluid as with the Wii Remote, as the time it took to move the aiming reticule was greater due to the lower sensitivity of the analogue sticks. It’s assumed that this will be rectifiable with custom controls however.

Currently there is no set date for Conduit 2 in any territory, with fans being told to expect it some time in 2011.
