’Pikachu Coloured Pichu’ hits Australia
Hook up any copy of Platinum, Diamond or Pearl to a Wi-Fi connection point to receive a very special Pichu.

Most of the English speaking world including Australia now have the opportunity to obtain yet another special Pokemon. This time we have the ’Pikachu Coloured Pichu.’ In essence, this rare Pokemon is not just a ’shiny’ Pichu, but is also coloured in the exact tones of a Pikachu, rather than the slightly paler shades typical of the small Pokemon.

Not only is this ’shiny’ Pichu special in it’s own right, but will act as a key to obtaining the very rare and elusive Spiky-Eared Pichu in the upcoming HeartGold and SoulSilver games.

Trainers will be able to obtain their very own Pikachu-coloured Pichu by connected a copy Pokemon Platinum, Diamond or Pearl to the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection within the ’Mystery Gift’ feature of the game. The little Pichu will be available for download until March 25th- the date that Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver releases in Australia.

To discuss your thoughts on the alternative Pichu or to inquire about obtaining the ’Mystery Gift’ option in your version of Pokemon, just drop a post in the forums.
