The creators of the popular Professor Layton franchise, Level-5, have confirmed the third instalment in the Japanese soccer/RPG hybrid, Inazuma Eleven.

The game will feature several new characters, a new plot line and an improvement core gameplay. Dubbed Inazuma Eleven 3: Challenge the World, IE3 has an expected release of Summer 2010 in Japan. A few scans can be found below which include screenshots and what we assume to be details about the game. If you can read Japanese, well, you’re in luck.

Don’t hold your hopes on a Western release, football fans. Both Inazuma Eleven 1 and 2 are yet to reach our shores.
