Activision sticking with DJ Hero
Despite less-than-spectacular sales, Activision’s CEO says they’re behind it all the way.

In a new interview with GameInformer, CEO of Activision Bobby Kotick has revealed that the company is still firmly behind the DJ Hero franchise and is working on DJ Hero 2, despite the original’s less-than-stellar sales.

"I think DJ Hero is a really innovative product," Kotick explains. "I can’t wait for you to see next year’s. That’s the thing; we’re sticking with it. We’ll stick with it and get it right. But it’s going to be less games, better games. That’s our strategy."

Less games from Activision? That’ll be the game. DJ Hero Renegade Edition dropped to $99 in Australia over the Christmas break, a full $200 off the original price. We’d say it didn’t do that great, but it was quite fun.
